My name is Campbell Flood, and I’m a freelancer composer with an academic background in multimedia composition. I have a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Music Composition from University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where I had the privilege to study under industry leading composers such as Rod Abernathy (composer for Dead Space, Rage), Chris Heckman (source composer for Red Dead Redemption), and Kenneth Frazelle (Julliard composer/orchestrator). I am a freelance composer for my company, Audistory, which is based in Raleigh, NC, a bustling city for game development. I am also the audio lead for the up and coming MMO, Codename Reality.
Ever since I was young, I’ve found such joy in analyzing and creating music for video games. Perhaps it’s the world-building element, perhaps it’s the emotional aspect that only music can provide, but game music has left and enduring impression on me. From old school franchises like Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem, to new age gems such as Xenoblade Chronicles and Dark Souls, game soundtracks have let me experience a variety of wonderful adventures that no other medium really has done before.
Below is a quick demo reel highlighting some of my favorite work from 2017. If you’d like to hear more, many specific samples of work I’ve done can be found in both the Video Game Portfolio and Film Portfolio sections of my website. Please, listen for yourself to be taken away to distant lands and adventures!
